Maintenance of Discipline
- Every student of the college shall at all times exhibit good behaviour, maintain decorum and dignity, take proper interest in co-curricular activities and observe all rules to discipline of the college.
- Every student admitted in the institute shall abide by rule 12 ordinance No. 7 of the MP VishwavidyalayaAdhiniyam 1973. Any student found guilty of the breach of discipline shall be punishable in accordance with rule 13 of said ordinance No. 7 which are reproduced below:
- When a student has been found guilty of breach of discipline within or outside the premises of the University or an Institute or persistent idleness or has guilty of misconduct, the head of the institution at which such student, may punish accordingly to the nature and gravity of the offence.
- Suspend such a student from attending classes for not more than a week at a time, or
- Expel such a student from appearing in next ensuing examination, or
- Disqualify such a student from appearing in the next ensuring examination, or
- Rusticate such a student.
- Before inflicting any punishment as aforesaid, the head of the institution shall give the student concerned an opportunity of personal hearing and record the reasons of inflicting the punishment.
- The head of the institution concerned shall have power to suspend (for such time as may be necessary) a student temporarily from the institution pending enquiry into his conduct in connection with an alleged offence.
- The period during which a student remains suspended for completion of an enquiry, shall be reckoned in calculation of his attendance for appearing at an examination provided he is found innocent.
- A student who has been rusticated shall not be admitted to another institution within the jurisdiction of the University. Ordinarily, the period of rustication shall not exceed two years. Other Universities shall be informed of the fact of rustication.
- The rustication of a student from an institution shall entail the removal of his name from the register of students.
Removal and Rustication
The Governing Body of the college on the recommendations of the Principal reserves the right to remove from the rolls the name of any student or punish otherwise for:
- Failure to pay college or hostel fee in time.
- Failure to execute an agreement by parent / guardian of the student within 15 days of the date of admission.
- Failure to come up to the prescribed standard.
- Unsatisfactory conduct or behaviour.
- Participation in any political / unsocial demonstration.
- Being involved or having been involved in the past in a criminal case or moral turpitude.
- Indulging in any activity derogatory to the institute.
- Consuming or found in passion of narcotic / drug or liquor.
- Indulging in ragging case.
Any student will be liable to for immediate rustication by the Principal if in his opinion the student behaves in a manner subversive of discipline or commits grave misconduct. Provided further, the Principal may impose fine for unauthorized absence from the class or any minor offence.
General Rules
- Every student must on joining the Institution provide himself at his/her cost with a compete set of drawing instruments, engineering / scientific calculator, survey field books text books etc.
- Every student before admission to the Institute must satisfy the Principal that he/she has sufficient means to bear expenses during the full four years course of his/her studies.
- The admission is given for four year course. The candidate will not be given "No objection Certificate" for seeking transfer to any other engineering colleges on any ground whatsoever.
- The decision of the Principal of the institution in all the matters related to the admission shall be final.
